Should you decide to stay at Emerald Island Resort or any other villa community for your next Disney vacation, we would recommend that you rent a car as most communities are a short drive to the local ameneties.
We have shown directions below which avoid the busy Hwy 192 which gets backed-up for miles during park entry and return hours.

To Disney World Orlando.

1. Turn right leaving Emerald Island Resort onto at Funie Steed Rd/Oak Island Rd - 0.5 miles
2. Turn left on to Formosa Gardens Blvd - 0.9 miles
3. Turn right on to 192 (east) and stay in the left lane.
4. At lights turn left on to Sherberth Rd - 1.4 miles
5. If you are going to Animal Kingdom, turn left at Osceola Pkwy - 0.4 miles. For all other parks, turn right at Osceola Pkwy and follow signs of your chosen park.

Directions For Sea World And Discovery Cove

1. Turn right leaving Emerald Island Resort onto at Funie Steed Rd/Oak Island Rd - 0.5 miles.
2. Turn left on to Formosa Gardens Blvd - 0.9 miles.
3. Turn right on to 192 (east) and stay in the left lane.
4. At lights turn left on to Sherberth Rd - 1.4 miles.
5. Turn right at Osceola Pkwy 3.8 miles
6. Merge on I-4 East via the ramp on the left to Orlando 5.5 miles.
7. Take exit 71 toward Sea World 0.5 miles.
8. Merge onto Central Florida Pkwy 0.7 miles.

6. Merge on I-4 East via the ramp on the left to Orlando 5.5 miles.
7. Take exit 72, 528 TOLL E. toward Intl Airport/Cape Canaveral.
8. Merge onto 528 East (also called the "Bee Line Expwy.").
9. Take the SR-407 exit on the left toward NASA Kennedy Space Center/I-95 N/Titusville.
10. Merge onto Challenger Memorial Pkwy./407 N. for approximately six (6) miles.
11. Turn right onto Columbia Blvd./FL-405 E. 8.4 miles.
12. Follow the signs to Kennedy Space Center.

Returning to Emerald Island Resort

1. Follow the signs to Disney's Animal Kingdom initially.
2. Once you are close to Animal Kingdom, follow the signs to Animal Kingdom Lodge.
3. After passing the exit for Animal Kingdom stay in left lane.
4. Turn left on to Sherberth Rd
5. Turn right on to 192 - Stay in the left lane
6. Left on Formosa Gardens Blvd (Taco Bell on the corner)
7. Right on to Funie Steed Road/ Oak Island Rd
8. Left in to Emerald Island Resort.

Emerald Island Resort gated community is located in Kissimmee, Florida and can be accessed by major highways and freeways. The resort is located just off US highway 192 one of the best areas for tourists as it is in the middle of everything such as attractions, shops, restaurants and resorts.
The main highway providing access to Emerald Island Resort is the I-4 freeway. From there, you can reach the Emerald Island Resort area in two different ways, an easy way via Osceola Parkway that avoids the busy traffic and the more popular US highway 192 which gets quite busy at times.

Driving directions to Emerald Island Resort from Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Orlando International is the most popular airport that our guests fly into.(MCO) is located at One Airport Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32827.
Emerald Island Resort is around 27 miles from the airport and takes about 40 minutes.
Please note that you will need some change for tolls.

1. From the airport terminal building, follow signs to the North Exits
2. Exit the airport at West Exit 1B to FL-528 "Bee Line Expressway" West
3. Drive for 10.5 miles on FL-528 West (Toll Road, You will pay two tolls for $1.00 each)
4. Merge on to the I-4 West via the exit on the left heading towards Tampa / Disney World
5. Take Exit 65 Osceola Parkway West toward Animal Kingdom - Drive 4.9 miles by following the signs for Animal Kingdom initially and then Animal Kingdom Lodge later. Stay in the left lane.
6. Take left on Sherberth Road. It is a narrow road. - Drive 1.4 miles.
7. Turn right on to US 192 West - Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. Stay in left lane. - Drive 0.5 miles
8. Take the first left on to Formosa Gardens Blvd. - Drive 0.9 miles
9. Turn right on to Funie Steed Road/Oak Island Road. - Drive 0.6 miles
10. Turn left into Emerald Island Resort just after an underpass. There is a colonnade and fountain with dolphins at the entrance. Now you are in Emerald Island Resort.
11. Continue on Emerald Island Blvd and check in at the guard house.
12. Club House is located on the left side just past the dolphin fountains.

Driving directions to Emerald Island Resort from Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB)

Orlando Sanford International Airport is located at One Air Terminal Pkwy, Melbourne, FL 32901.
Emerald Island Resort is around 53 miles from the airport and it takes about one hour.

2. Turn right onto E Airport Blvd 1.8 miles
